Work with Broadway’s Aladdin
In partnership with Savannah Children’s Theatre, we are presenting a Masterclass at SCT’s main space at 2160 E Victory Dr. Our master teacher is Broadway’s most recent Aladdin, having completed his three year run in June: Michael Maliakel. Michael is an incredible performer and talent, winning the 2016 American Traditions Vocal Competition, and crafting a career that combines concerts, theatre, and TV/Film. Michael is so excited to work with the Junior ATC and SCT students!
What you will need to prepare:
3 contrasting song choices from Folk, Great American Songbook, Art Song, Musical Theatre, Mid-Century Pop (pop songs from 1950-1980), Spirituals, Songs by Johnny Mercer or Hollywood.
NOTE: One song MUST have either lyrics or music (or both) written by Johny Mercer
